This fly fishing water has 19 pegs to fish from and is home to the following species of fish:
- Rainbow Trout - Brightly coloured trout in tip top condition
- Blue TroutThis fish has a beautiful blue hue across its back, and is one of the strongest, most exciting trout you can hook.
- Brown Trout - The most common trout found in Scotland. The brown trout at the Broom are a lot bigger than those often caught in the wild.
- Golden Trout - The pale colour of the skin on this fish makes it easy to see in the water, but it is very wily and catching one is a great achievement.
- Tiger Trout - This cross between a brook trout and a brown trout has distinctive tiger-like markings, making it one of the most beautiful fish in UK waters
Betula has a fairly even depth of around 6 feet. Broom Tackle Box, our on-site fishing tackle shop always has a selection of quality fishing flies that work well on this loch, depending on the time of year you fish it.
